HOUSTON (ICIS)--Bayer MaterialScience has placed its US customers on a temporary allocation of 90% for toluene di-isocyanate (TDI), the company said on Wednesday.
Bayer said the allocation was due to reduced inventory levels.
However, the company continues to produce and provide on-spec TDI material to customers, it said.
The comment from Bayer was in response to market participant concerns over availability of on-spec TDI from the company’s production plant in Baytown, Texas. No other details were available.
