China’s Yu Yang New Energy starts up new EPS plant; run rate 70%

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>China’s Yu Yang New Energy started up its new 120,000 tonne/year expandable polystyrene (EPS) plant at Binzhou, Shandong province, late last week, with the unit's current run rate at 70%, a company source said on Thursday.
The plant has achieved on-spec products after coming on stream on 11 February, the source said.
The company purchases feedstock styrene monomer (SM) for the plant, mainly from China’s Qilu Petrochemical, the source said.By: Iris Xi+65 6780 4359
