Iran's Pars Petrochemical restarts Assaluyeh styrene unit, lifts FM

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Iran’s Pars Petrochemical has restarted its 600,000 tonne/year styrene monomer (SM) plant at Assaluyeh on 14 February, a company source said on Thursday.

“The facility is currently running at around 80%”, the source said.

The plant was shut on 28 January this year because of utilities issues, prompting the company to announce force majeure (FM) on its SM supply on 29 January.

The FM on its SM supply has since been lifted.
