“The plant has been shut since the power outage [on 31 January],” the source said.
PTTGC’s 300,000 tonne/year low density PE (LDPE) plant at the same site has ramped up production to 100% capacity, after it resumed operation on 15 February, the source said.
The company’s two other HDPE plants with a combined capacity of 550,000 tonnes/year, and its 400,000 tonne/year linear low density PE (LLDPE) unit at Map Ta Phut were not affected by the power outage, and have been running at full capacity, the source said.
