In January 2012, the country’s total output of plastics amounted to 452,000 tonnes or 2.3% down year on year and 6% down month on month, according to Rosstat.
Synthetic rubber production was 1% down, year on year, at 127,000 tonnes, but it was 1.6% up month on month, the agency said.
Cord and yarn output amounted to 10,500 tonnes or 13.7% down year on year, but 2.5% up month on month, it said.
