Polish chemical production increased by 15.4% in January

LONDON (ICIS)--Poland's production of chemicals and chemical products in January rose by 15.4% from the same period last year, the country's official statistics office (GUS) said on Friday.

Overall industrial production rose 9% year on year - although it was 5.1% lower than in December 2011 - with 29 out of the 34 monitored industrial sectors reporting output increases for the month, it added.

The rubber and plastics products sector improved its output by 13.7%, the GUS said.
