The cracker is expected to resume operations on 29 March, the source said.
PTTGC had earlier postponed the turnaround for the cracker, which was initially scheduled to be shut on 4 February, because of an unplanned shutdown at another 1m tonne/year ethane cracker at the same site.
PTTGC was forced to shut the 1m tonne/year cracker on 31 January because of a power outage. The facility resumed operations on 13 February.
The company also runs another 460,000 tonne/year I-1 cracker and a 515,000 tonne/year I-4 No 1 cracker at the site.
