The new CDU’s two auxiliary units – a 3.5m tonne/year fluid catalytic cracker (FCC) and a 1.8m tonne/year residue hydrogenation unit – will come on stream in September, the source said.
Once the new CDU is brought on line, Jinling Petrochemical intends to permanently shut its 2.5m tonne/year CDU at the site, along with its 1m tonne/year FCC, and its 200,000 tonne/year gas fractionation unit, the company source said.

Jinling Petrochemical further plans to reduce the throughput at its existing 3m tonne/year CDU by a third to 2m tonnes/year, upon the start-up of the new 8m tonne/year unit in March, the source said.
Its existing 8m tonne/year is set for a 35-day scheduled turnaround in April-May, the source said.
