MOSCOW (ICIS)--Russian ethylene production fell by 8% year on year to 205,000 tonnes in January, while output of most monomers, polymers and fertilizers also fell, the Russian statistics agency Rosstat said on Wednesday.

In January,
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) output grew by 6% up year on year to 62,100 tonnes, Rosstat said.
And benzene output decreased by 5% down year on year to 89,100 tonnes, it added.
Total output of mineral fertilizers for the month was down by 13% year on year at 1.46m tonnes, Rosstat said.
Ammonia production was 8% down year on year at 1.17m tonnes.
