SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Tuha Oilfield is planning to restart its 240,000 tonne/year methanol unit at Tulufan in Xinjiang province in mid-March, a company official said on Friday.

The company shut the methanol unit from 11th November 2011 because of a feedstock shortage of natural gas during winter, the sourced added.

Natural gas supply is usually tight during winter as most of the material is allocated to residential areas for heating purposes.
