China’s Rongsheng to invest $300m to expand polyester output

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Rongsheng Petrochemical said on Friday it plans to invest yuan (CNY) 1.89bn ($300m) to expand the capacity of its 200,000 tonne/year polyester plant by 40%.

The plant’s capacity to produce polyester filament yarns will increase to 290,000 tonnes/year once expansion and upgrade works are completed in November 2013, the company said in a statement filed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
