LONDON (ICIS)--Turkish base oils importer SeaHorse plans to start up a new lubricant facility at the beginning of 2014, it said on Friday.

The plant, to be located in Dilovasi in the Marmara region of Turkey, will have a production output of 500,000 tonnes/year when at full capacity.

SeaHorse, speaking at the ICIS World Base Oils & Lubricants Conference in London, said the plant will be one of the largest of its kind in Europe.

SeaHorse buys around 15,000-20,000 tonnes/month of base oils from markets including the Black Sea and Europe.
