HOUSTON (ICIS)--BP’s Texas City refinery began the restart of an ultracracker, the company said in a regulatory filing on Friday.

The ultracracker would be in restart mode Friday through Monday at the 406,570 refinery near Houston, the company said in a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). The unit produces gasoline.

A US Gulf broker said the ultracracker was shut down about 10 days ago for unplanned maintenance.

The BP Texas City refinery is the sixth largest refinery in the US.
