China’s Beijing Huaying restarts DOP plant after shutdown

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Beijing Huaying Chemical Co Ltd has achieved on-spec production at its 45,000 tonne/year dioctyl phthalate (DOP) plant after restarting it over the weekend, a company source said on Monday.

The company restarted the plant on 25 February after it was taken off line on 18 February, according to the source.

“We shut down the plant earlier because of the tight supply of feedstock 2-ethylhexanol (2-EH),” the source said.

“We are running at low operation and achieved on-spec production today [Monday],” the source added.
