SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Shanxi Yongxing Coking plans to start its new 200,000 tonne/year coal-based methanol plant at Linfen in Shanxi province in May, a company source said on Tuesday.

The company has completed turnaround of its 100,000 tonne/year methanol unit at the same site on 26 February, the source said.

More than 90% products of the 100,000 tonne/year methanol unit have been purchased by di methyl ether (DME) producers in Henan province, one trader said.
