SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China Aviation Oil (CAO), Asia’s leading jet trader, issued a purchase tender for four 240,000-300,000 barrels (bbl) cargoes of jet-kerosene for loading on 21-31 March, 1-10 April, 11-20 April and 21-30 April, respectively, a company source said on Tuesday.

The tender will close on 28 February with validity until 29 February, the source added.

In its previous purchase tender, CAO bought three 240,000-300,000 bbl cargoes of jet-kerosene for loading in March at around market quotes minus 10 cents/bbl FOB (free on board) Singapore.

The cargoes were likely from northeast Asia via the tender, but details could not be confirmed.

In addition, CAO bought two 26,000-27,000 tonne cargoes of jet-kerosene for delivery to Huangpu in February and March via the same tender, but further details were unavailable.

CAO is the largest physical jet fuel trader in the Asia-Pacific and the key supplier of imported jet fuel to the civil aviation industry in China.

The firm’s key businesses include jet fuel supply and trading, trading of other oil products and investments in oil-related assets.
