SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s LG Chem will restart its 150,000 tonne/year No 2 bisphenol A (BPA) plant at Yeosu on 1 March this year, a company source said on Wednesday.

The plant was taken off line on 15 February for annual maintenance.

The No 2 plant is expected to run at full tilt after production is resumed on 1 March, the source said.

Meanwhile, the company’s 150,000 tonne/year No 1 BPA line at the same site is not scheduled for annual maintenance this year, according to the source.

The No 1 BPA plant is currently running at full capacity, the source added.
