SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s Nippon Shokubai is planning to shut its 35,000 tonne/year maleic anhydride (MA) plant at Himeji this month from 26 March to 18 April for maintenance, a company source said.

The company will be reducing its MA spot allocations as a result, the source added.

Nippon Shokubai’s MA contract allocations will not be affected as the company has built up its inventory, the source said.
