SINGAPORE (ICIS)--German chemicals major BASF on Thursday announced three senior appointments at its paper chemicals, crop protection and mobile emissions catalysts businesses in the Asia-Pacific.
Effective from 1 March this year, Heng Lin will lead BASF’s Asia-Pacific paper chemicals business as senior vice president, the company said in a statement. Lin replaces Eng Soo Chew, who will retire on 31 March this year.
Raman Ramachandran will succeed Lin as the senior vice president of the company’s Asia-Pacific crop protection business, effective from 1 March, BASF said.
Ramachandran previously held the Singapore-based role of vice president of marketing of the Asia-Pacific crop protection business, it said.
BASF has also appointed Anup Kothari as vice president of business management, to lead the mobile emissions catalysts business in the Asia-Pacific, effective from 1 April this year, the company said.
Based at Shanghai in China, Kothari will succeed Lothar Laupichler, who has been named senior vice president of electronic materials, and will be based in Ludwigshafen, Germany.
Laupichler’s appointment will be effective from 1 April this year.
