Canadian-listed Verde raises $25m for potash project in Brazil

TORONTO (ICIS)--Canadian-listed fertilizer company Verde Potash has raised Canadian dollar (C$) 25m ($25m) to help finance the development of a potash project in Brazil, it said on Thursday.

Verde Potash said that, as part of a share issue, a group of Canadian underwriters agreed to buy almost 3.9m Verde shares, at C$6.45/share.

Verde’s wholly-owned Cerrado Verde potash project is in Brazil’s Minas Gerais state.
