SINGAPORE (ICIS)--India’s Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) is ramping up operations at its cracker at Gandhar in Gujarat, after a technical outage shut it down for five-and-a-half days, a company source said on Friday.

The 430,000 tonne/year cracker was restarted on 29 February, the source said.

RIL’s 160,000 tonne/year downstream high density polyethylene (HDPE) unit at the same site was unaffected by the outage because there were sufficient ethylene stocks, he said.
