China’s Sinopec Shanghai Gaoqiao to restart phenol/acetone unit

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Sinopec Shanghai Gaoqiao Co plans to restart its 100,000 tonne/year phenol/acetone unit on 7 March, a company source said on Friday.

This unit, which is located at Pudong in Shanghai, was shut on 6 February for scheduled maintenance, according to the source.

Another 60,000 tonne/year phenol/acetone unit at the same site was shut on 13 February for scheduled maintenance.

The company plans to restart this second plant on either 26 or 27 March, the source added.

Sinopec Shanghai Gaoqiao Co has a third 200,000 tonne/year phenol/acetone unit at Shanghai Chemical Industry Park in Caojing, which is operating at full capacity.
