SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Qinghai Salt Lake Potash is running its muriate of potash (MOP) unit in Qinghai at full rates after completing a turnaround last week, a company source said on Tuesday.

The unit has a capacity of 2.4m tonnes/year, said the source.

The unit was restarted last week after it was shut down for maintenance in mid-November 2011, according to the source.

The company’s MOP offer was at yuan (CNY) 3,100/tonne ($491/tonne) EXW (ex-works) on 5 March, unchanged from last week according to Chemease, an ICIS service in China.

Qinghai Salt Lake Potash is the largest MOP producer in China.
