LONDON (ICIS)--Munich-based industrial gases and chemicals engineering firm Linde is expected to report resilient earnings for the end of 2011, JP Morgan Cazenove said on Tuesday.
Linde will report its fourth-quarter and full-year 2011 results on Friday 9 March.
The investment bank has forecast Linde to report fourth-quarter group sales of €3.56bn, up from €3.46bn in the fourth quarter of 2010, and Q4 earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of €826m ($1.09bn), from €780m in same period the year before.
In Linde’s gases business, fourth-quarter sales growth is expected to slow modestly, JP Morgan Cazenove said, particularly in the bulk and cylinder businesses.
However, the bank does expect Linde’s gases margin and engineering margins to improve.
Last year, the group said its operating profit for the nine-month period ending 30 September 2011 increased by 10.2% year on year to €2.36bn, with sales rising by 8.5% to €10.2bn.
