SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Maoming Petrochemical has ramped up the operating rates of its 200,000 tonne/year high density polyethylene/linear low density polyethylene (HDPE/LLDPE) swing plant at Maoming in south ?xml:namespace>
Production at the plant, which produces mainly LLDPE, will be ramped up to 100% capacity over the next few days, the company source said.
The plant was restarted on 6 March following a month-long shutdown.
The supply of LLDPE is expected to increase in south
The plant had completed a three-day maintenance on 2 February but its restart was delayed to 6 March because of high ethylene feedstock costs, the company source said.
