US ethanol stocks and production up again as March begins

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US ethanol inventories increased in the first week of March as production rates moved higher, according to data released by the Energy Information Administration (EIA) on Wednesday.

Ethanol inventories for the week that ended on 2 March were at 22.1m bbl, up by 100,000 bbl or 0.5% from 22m bbl a week earlier.

The increase was also the second consecutive weekly growth in domestic inventories.

Meanwhile, ethanol production was at 906,000 bbl/day, up by 10,000 bbl or 1% from 896,000 the previous week.
