US Dow plans maintenance at glycol ethers plant in Texas

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US Dow Chemical has scheduled maintenance for its Seadrift glycol ethers plant in Texas, a source said on Friday.

Dow will shut down the Seadrift glycol ethers production lines for scheduled maintenance from mid-March to mid-April.

Dow did not respond to a request for specific dates for the shut down.

The Dow Seadrift plant has the capacity to produce 120,000 tonnes/year of ethylene butyl glycol ether (EB) and 27,000 tonnes/year of Diethylene glycol butyl ether (DB).
