SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Zhejiang Meifu Petrochemical plans to in late April restart its fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) unit, which can produce 120,000 tonnes/year of propylene, a company source said on Wednesday.

The unit was started up in January after construction was completed last year, but it was shut in February because of mechanical problems, the company source added.

The unit will mainly supply contracted propylene via pipeline to a 120,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) downstream unit, which belongs to a separate company, the source said without providing further details.

Meifu Petrochemical is located at Jiaxing in eastern Zhejiang province.
