HOUSTON (ICIS)--US ethanol inventories came down alongside lower production rates, according to data released by the Energy Information Administration (EIA) on Wednesday.
Ethanol inventories for the week that ended on 9 March were at 22m bbl, down by 100,000 bbl or 0.5% from 22.1m bbl a week earlier.
It was the first time in two weeks that domestic inventories came down.
Meanwhile, ethanol production was at 892,000 bbl/day, down by 14,000 bbl/day or 1.5% from 906,000 bbl/day the previous week.
