Thai Paraxylene shuts Sri Racha unit for maintenance

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Thai Paraxylene (TPX) shut its Sri Racha-based plant on Monday for scheduled maintenance and debottlenecking, with the restart date set on 4 April, a company source said..

The Sri Racha unit currently has a design capacity to produce 490,000 tonnes/year of PX. After debottlenecking, the plant’s capacity will increase by 35,000-40,000 tonnes/year.

Other PX producers in southeast Asia include Thailand’s PTT Global Chemical, ExxonMobil Chemicals and Indonesia’s Pertamina.
