The company was to have restarted the plant after a month-long maintenance that began on 10 February, but the restart was delayed by bad weather, the source said.
FPC also shut another 140,000 tonne/year ACN line at the same site on 10 February, added the source.
This other plant was restarted on 10 March and is now running at 100% capacity, according to the source.
The ACN produced by FPC is mainly used to provide feedstock for its acrylic fibre and acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) plants, the source added.
