SINGAPORE (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>China’s TSRC-UBE (Nantong) Chemical Industrial plans to restart its 72,000 tonne/year butadiene rubber (BR) plant in Nantong, Jiangsu province, on 26 March, a company source said on Wednesday.
“We shut down the plant for about one month as the margins were squeezed by high feedstock butadiene (BD) prices,” the source said.
“BD prices are stable now, so we decided to restart the plant,” the source said.
TSRC-UBE (Nantong) is a joint venture between Taiwan Synthetic Rubber Corp (TSRC), which owns a 55% stake and Japanese firms Ube Industries (25%) and Marubeni (20%).By: Miki Jiang
