SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Dalian Petrochemical plans to shut its 200,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant at Dalian in Shandong province for regular maintenance, a source close to the company said on Wednesday.

“The PP plant is planned to be shut on 25 March and the maintenance will last for 22 days,” the source added.

The shutdown will not have a significant impact on the domestic general PP market because the plant mainly produces fibre grade, local distributors said.
