SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Syngenta has successfully issued $750m (€570m) worth of long-term bonds as part of its regular funding requirements, the Swiss agribusiness group said on Thursday.
The issuance comprises a 10-year bond worth $500m, and a $250m bond with a 30-year maturity, the company said in a statement, adding that the proceeds of the bond will be used for general corporate purposes.
"We have taken advantage of current favorable market conditions in order to further enhance our debt maturity profile. This bond issue is part of our normal funding requirements,” Syngenta chief finance officer John Ramsay said in the statement.
