LONDON (ICIS)--Canadian methanol producer Methanex has published its independent European posted contract price (EPCP) at €340/tonne ($447/tonne), up by €20/tonne, a source with the company said on Friday.

This is in line with the European contract price, which was also confirmed on Friday at €340/tonne.

An initial agreement for the European contract price was made between a buyer and seller on 21 March, after which an increasing number of participants followed suit.

European methanol contract prices are settled on an FOB (free on board) Rotterdam basis.
