China’s Zhejiang Juhua 2011 net profit doubles to CNY1.75bn

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Zhejiang Juhua’s 2011 net profit doubled to yuan (CNY) 1.75bn ($277m) year on year mainly because of higher prices and improved demand, the company said over the weekend.

The east China-based firm, which produces fluorine, chlor-alkali and sulphuric acid, posted a 49.68% increase year on year in its operating income to CNY8.20bn,  according to a statement to the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

The producer’s sales from fluorine products increased by 66.76% year on year to CNY5.50bn, while its sales from chlor-alkali products rose by 18.08% to CNY1.7bn, the statement said.
