South Korea’s S-Oil appoints Al-Mahasher as new CEO

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--S-Oil has appointed Nasser Al-Mahasher as its new chief executive effective early next month, the South Korean refining firm said on Monday.

Before this appointment, Al-Mahasher previously headed Tokyo-based Saudi Petroleum, the company said in a statement.

Al-Mahasher replaces Ahmed Subaey, who will return to Saudi Arabia’s state oil firm Saudi Aramco, it said.

Saudi Aramco owns a 35% stake in S-Oil.

Saudi Petroleum performs marketing support services on behalf of Saudi Aramco.
