The company shut the plant because of tight feedstock butadiene (BD) supply in the domestic market, the source said.
The plant was restarted on 19 March, the source said, adding that the company will start up a 150,000 tonne/year BD plant at the same site, which will mainly supply feedstock to the BR plant, at the end of April 2013.
The company’s BR output is mainly supplied to its downstream Wanda Tyre Group, the source added.
