HOUSTON (ICIS)--US Kraton Performance Polymers has formed a joint venture with Formosa Petrochemical for a hydrogenated-styrenic-block copolymer plant in Taiwan, Kraton said on Monday.
The plant will be in Mailiao and have a capacity of 30,000 tonnes/year. It will begin operations by the first half of 2014, Kraton said.
"We are committed to our customers in China and the Asia Pacific region," said Kevin Fogarty, Kraton’s chief executive. "Kraton will continue to expand its technology and service offerings as we work with our customers to meet their needs and help them grow," he added.
