SINGAPORE (ICIS)--An explosion occurred at China’s Donghai Taiyi Fine Chemical facility at Donghai in Jiangsu on 27 March, injuring two workers, local authorities said on Tuesday.
The explosion occurred at 02:45 hours local time (10:45 GMT), according to a statement released by the local government.
The statement did not specify if the explosion was at the company’s plants or buildings, but local media reports said the firm’s chemical plant was damaged.
Investigations of the cause of the explosion are underway, the statement said.
Donghai Taiyi Fine Chemical is a pharmaceutical intermediates manufacturer in China.
