China’s Zhongyuan plans cracker, MTO unit turnaround in April

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>China’s Zhongyuan Petrochemical is planning to shut its cracker and a methanol-to-olefin (MTO) unit at Puyang in Henan province in late April this year for maintenance, a company source said on Wednesday.
The turnaround at the two units will begin around 25 April and will last for one and a half months, the source said.
The cracker can produce 180,000 tonnes/year of ethylene and 90,000 tonnes/year of propylene, while the MTO unit produces around 200,000 tonnes/year of olefins.
This includes 100,000 tonnes/year of ethylene and 100,000 tonnes/year of propylene.By: Lilian Hua
