SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s Kolon Plastics does not have any maintenance plans for its newly expanded 65,000 tonne/year polyacetals (POM) unit at Kyonghuk, located in Gumi, South Korea, this year, a company source said on Wednesday.
In January, the company increased production capacity at the unit to 65,000 tonne/year from 20,000 tonne/year, the source added.
POM is widely used in electronic, electrical, communications, fibre optics and automotive industries.
