LONDON (ICIS)--Israel Chemicals Limited (ICL) has signed contracts with several Chinese customers to supply 550,000 tonnes of potash in the second quarter of 2012, the Israeli chemicals and fertilizer firm said on Wednesday.
ICL said the contracts include an option for an additional 120,000 tonnes of potash.
ICL did not disclose financial details of the contracts but said pricing was similar to previous deals signed with Chinese customers in the second half of 2011 .
In the second half of 2011, ICL supplied 500,000 tonnes of potash to Chinese buyers, at a price of $470/tonne (€353/tonne) cost and freight (CFR), according to ICIS.
