India’s MRPL issues tender to sell isomer-grade xylene in May

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--India’s Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) has issued a tender to sell 10,000 tonnes of isomer-grade xylene (IX) for 6-15 May loading late on Wednesday.

The cargo will be sold on an ex-New Mangalore basis and will be priced against spot FOB (free on board) Korea quotes. The tender will close on 2 April with validity to the next day.

MRPL last sold a second-half April 10,000-tonne IX shipment to a Japanese trading house at a $70-75/tonne discount to FOB quotes.

The cargo was heard destined for end-users in Sri Racha, Thailand or Ulsan, South Korea according to shipping sources.
