Malaysia’s Titan Chemicals buys 30,000 tonnes naphtha for May

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Malaysia’s Titan Chemicals has purchased a 30,000 tonne full-range naphtha cargo for first-half May arrival at a $13/tonne premium (€9.75/tonne), a company source said on Thursday.

The cargo was bought on CFR (cost & freight) Japan quotes, based on a 30-day formula, this week from a Middle Eastern trader and is scheduled to be delivered to Pasir Gudang, added the source.

Titan Chemicals last bought by tender a 30,000 tonne full-range naphtha cargo for first-half April arrival at a $20/tonne premium to CFR Japan quotes, based on a 30-day formula, the source added.

Titan Chemicals operates a 285,000 tonne/year No 1 cracker and a 435,000 tonne/year No 2 cracker at Pasir Gudang, Malaysia.
