SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Sinopec Beijing Yanshan Petrochemical restarted its 200,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) unit in Beijing on 29 March, a company source said on Friday.

The company shut the plant for maintenance on 26 March, the source said, adding that the plant is now running at 100% of capacity.

Yanshan has two other PP units at the same site, which are all operating at 100% of capacity, added the source.

The turnaround has had little impact on PP supply because the duration of the shutdown was short, a market player said.
