Thai MMA to shut No 1 Map Ta Phut line in mid May

SINGTAPORE (ICIS)--Thai MMA plans to shut its 90,000 tonne/year No 1 methyl methacrylate (MMA) line in Map Ta Phut for 10 days in the middle of May, a company source said on Friday.

Thai MMA is also planning a 10-day scheduled turnaround at its 90,000 tonne/year No 2 MMA line at the same site in the middle of October, the source said.

“We currently are facing low inventory levels and we do not have any surplus cargoes to support the export spot market,” he added.
