SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Brunei Methanol Co (BMC) will restart its 850,000 tonne/year methanol plant at ?xml:namespace>
The plant was shut on 26 March because of mechanical issues, the source said.
BMC is a joint venture between Mitsubishi Gas Chemical (MGC), ITOCHU and Petroleum
Methanol is used in the manufacture of formaldehyde, methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), methyl chlorides, methyl methacrylate (MMA) and acetic acid.
