SAO PAULO (ICIS)--Sales of bi-oriented polypropylene (BOPP) produced by Vitopel in Brazil for Easter chocolate packaging increased by 20% year on year in terms of volume during the 2012 season, the company said on Friday.
Vitopel produces flexible films from BOPP for packaging.
During the Easter season, chocolate producers use the PP film to pack Easter candy.
Vitopel, an Argentine company, is a major BOPP producer with plants in Argentina and Brazil.
The company did not disclose sales volumes.
