Valero starts turnaround on FCC unit at Texas refinery

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US refiner Valero began a turnaround of a gasoline production unit at its 156,000 bbl/day McKee refinery in Sunray, Texas, during the weekend, a company spokesman said on Monday.

The fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) unit has a capacity of 55,000 bbl/day and is expected to be shut down for five weeks, said Valero spokesman Bill Day.
